Eve's First Haircut

I thought Eve's first haircut would be by someone other than herself, but I guess that was wishful thinking! Can anyone say "Buisness in the front and Party in the back!"

Jockey!!!

Okay- so Derek was watching "Modern Marvels" the other day on the History channel (Nerd alert!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyways, it was how Jockey underwear is made. The kids noticed what he was wearing and Ben decided to go upstairs and get the product and model for everyone. Ladies remember--Derek is all mine.

Kids ready for bed (possibly over tired)!

Farm and Camp

Sorry I have been so bad with the updates. The summer is always our busiest time and I am not always going to have access to keep up with this blog. I will do my best to update between trips.
We had a great time at the farm and Derek had a great time up at camp! I got to spend two days there and hang out with everyone so that was nice. There were around 140 kids last week, 10 Baptisms, and not one trouble maker. The year I decide not to counsel they have a week of great kids without even one "huffer" at craft time!

Eve carried around the kittens all week! Most of the time she held them abusively, but you know how I feel about cats. I just let her play with them the way she wanted to . She was having a good time!

I got to bond with little Cameron last week! (Nick and Lauren's son) He kept me on my toes. We called him"demolition boy". He destroys anything in his path. He's a good boy and I loved watching him!

Frankenstien

On Monday night we had a little accident with Ben. I didn't write about it because I wanted to get good pictures of it. Ben was in the barn with his amish friend Alan when Alan picked up a rock to see how far he could throw it. Ben was in the way of his back swing and the rock cracked Ben between the eyebrows. I went to pick blueberries with the girls so I wasn't there. When I got back, Ben was on grandmom's lap while she was holding pressure on his forehead. We took him to the ER and he recieved 3 stitches. His new name is Frankenstien!

Garrett Farm

Nephew Joshua Garrett

Hannah and Kylie

I'm spending the week at the Garrett farm. Derek is volunteering at camp. I do have some pictures to post but I have to figure out how to do it on my mother-in-laws's computer. I stayed and worked on the 4th and 5th and drove 6 hours early Monday morning. Along with my kids, grandma and Aunt Donna have been watching my neice Kylie, and Nick and Lauren's son, Cameron. Liz Garrett is also here with Joshau who is 16 months old. It's a little wild. I will post pictures as soon as possible.

Victoria Pool

Yesterday we went to the oldest public pool in the state of New York. Saratoga Springs was a vacation destination back in the day for the elite of Manhattan. Still today there are "elite" that are toted around the city in their horse and carriages. It was a gorgeous day and I even convinced Derek to play hooky for a couple of hours.

Fitness Challenge Over!!

I'm so glad this challenge is over. I did stick to it most of the time, but my body didn't really change that much. Last night I really enjoyed playing tennis with Derek. We haven't done that in awhile. Hannah and Ben stood on each side of the net and were the "ball boy and girl" when we hit it into the net. It worked out pretty good until they decided to fight over who gets the ball. I lost 6-0/6-1, but you have to remember that I'm playing Derek! Anyways, an hour of pilates yesterday and an hour of tennis made me wake up with extreme back soreness.

I came home from a jog the other day and couldn't find my kids. (Derek was still sleeping) Welcome to their new hiding spot!

Library time!
I have been taking the kids to the library a lot lately. They play on the computer, Eve does puzzles sometimes, and Hannah will read to Ben. Mommy reads the new People magazine! Derek loves it because I stopped buying so many magazines in the grocery aisle. I read it long enough to find out who has the best beach body (David Beckham of course) and then it goes in the pot reading pile!
